Each list keeps your other nine picks fixed and uses the specific matches shown above. Players used elsewhere are excluded. Alternatives from different lists may not work together.
Fill all ten positions and satisfy all fifteen links. Use each player once. Every player needs at least one recorded MLB regular-season game at that exact position; LF, CF, RF and DH are separate.
Your final score counts players and links completed without hints. Revealing a hint makes that position worth zero points and excludes every link touching it. A link between two hinted positions is excluded only once. Hint marks remain if you replace a player or reload the game. During play, the counters show lineup progress; once complete, they show your final score.
Position is the only starting requirement. There are no starting stat minimums. All-Star and Hall of Fame requirements apply only where a link asks for them. Bats links require both players to bat right, bat left, or be switch-hitters. Throws links involving C, 2B, 3B or SS require both players to throw right. Other throws links can match right or left.
Franchise links allow different eras and relocated or renamed teams. A shared MLB season does not require being teammates. Birthplace follows MLB’s country/territory field.
Same number worn means a shared number listed in MLB’s player profiles or rosters, including a later coaching number. The link shows the accepted numbers. Number histories can be incomplete, especially earlier numbers with the same team; 0 and 00 are distinct. First-name links use MLB’s displayed first name, and last-name links use its surname field. Accents and capitalization are ignored; Bob and Robert are different names.
All-Star links require an actual MLB All-Star Game appearance, not just selection. Hall of Fame links require National Baseball Hall of Fame membership in the loaded records, including members who played MLB before being inducted in another role.
Picks are editable. A submission must meet its position requirement and every connection to an already-filled position. Links stay pending until both positions are filled; stated requirements such as Throws right, All-Star or Hall of Fame apply immediately. Remove or replace earlier picks to change direction; the roster is complete only when all fifteen links work. Search suggestions come from the whole player pool and do not reveal which names fit.
The search includes all players returned by MLB’s career batting, pitching, and fielding records. Eligibility requires a recorded appearance at the exact position; missing historical position records are not inferred from a player’s primary position. Namesakes are kept as separate players.
Records: MLB statistics feed. Number records use MLB player profiles and all-time rosters. Awards use All-Star game records and Hall of Fame recipient records. Each placed player also has an MLB profile link. Example rosters show different complete solutions for the displayed day. Select any position and use its hint button to reveal one player who fits your current picks and still allows a complete lineup. Tap “Choose this player” to place the hint directly. You can still replace or remove that pick. After completing your roster, the results card summarizes each position’s actual shared matches and lists every replacement meeting those specific criteria with your other nine picks held fixed.
